Fat Transfer is an ideal treatment for restoring the ageing face or to treat patients who have lost volume in their face due to stress or weight loss.

We all have fat deposits on the face that actually disappear or move as we grow older. The plump, rounded cheeks and natural arches that are associated with a healthy, youthful appearance tend to drop down and jowls begin to appear as we age or lose considerable weight.

Fat transfer requires the removal of fat from somewhere on the body, commonly the hips or buttocks. This is removed by using a tiny cannula/needle. After the fat is washed and prepared, a small amount, (1–3 mls) is injected into the area to be filled.

Fat Transfer can restore balance to the face and give a refreshed, natural look. Simply filling the cheekbone area that has flattened with even a tiny amount of transferred fat can make a huge difference.  This procedure can also be successfully used on the hands and elbows to provide smoother and softer look.
